The Sheringham Lifeboats (DVD)
The DVD is an hour long story of The Sheringham Lifeboats from the first rowing boat, the Augusta, launched in 1838, through to the modern high-speed lifeboat the Oddfellows. With interviews and historic pictures, remarkable film from 1930 onwards and modern video, it is the story of a town and its determination to provide an effective lifesaving service for those in peril on the sea.
The DVD has been made in response to those many people who have asked for copies of the video presentation that can be seen in the operational lifeboat house and to explain how the remarkable collection of boats and other artefacts that can now be seen in the Mo museum at Sheringham. We have been able to include much more material than can be shown in those presentations; the DVD runs for 60 minutes and you can a trailer below.
